Meet
Dr. Nathan M. Faber
Dr. Nathan M. Faber purchased Dental Dentures and Implants after having practiced family, cosmetic, root canal, surgical, and implant dentistry in Alaska for 15 years, primarily in remote Kodiak and Dutch Harbor. There are very few specialists in remote Alaska. Dr. Faber was delighted to serve his patients in all phases of dentistry. He went into private practice after graduating from the prestigious Oregon Health Sciences University with his DMD. He completed his Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude, from Oregon State University.
Dr. Faber says, "I am happy to be here in the Low Country; at DDI, the office exemplifies my core values and allows nothing but the most excellent patient care. We place a lot of implants and here, which help so many people."
Originally from McAlester, Oklahoma, where he was an All-State football player and Heavyweight state champion in wrestling, Dr. Faber graduated from the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) Prep School with honors before continuing to the USAFA, where he played football and wrestled for two years.
He eventually transferred out of the Academy to give a chance at professional football a try. Still, when injuries ended that dream, he switched to wrestling, where he ranked top 10 nationally and was an Olympic hopeful in 2000.
Dr. Faber is a member of the:
- Full Arch Master Implant Group
- Alaska Dental Society
- Fellow Academy of General Practitioner Orthodontics
- Fellow American Academy of Clear Aligners
A dedicated proponent of life-long learning, Dr. Faber has 15 years of placement and continuing education in dental implants and has studied Cosmetic Dentistry at the prestigious Los Angeles Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is most proud of his latest training at Full-Arch Masters in California, where top implant dentists go to further their skill set.
Outside of work, Dr. Faber enjoys coaching football, soccer, and wrestling and is a passionate sponsor of Relay for Life and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
He is the proud husband of Leslie and proud father of six – three boys and three girls. He is an avid marathoner and sportsman ("I love to hunt for the table."), and shares an addiction for offshore fishing with his family, who love chasing King Salmon, Billfish, and Bluefin Tuna wherever they can be found. Time with family, church and rebuilding custom Carolina Sport Fishers round out his many interests.
